Dr. Naruns has been practicing at El Camino Hospital since 1988. During this time, he has served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery. Dr. Naruns has a vast experience in all aspects of General Surgery, including laparoscopy (gallbladder, colon, hernia). He has a special interest in surgery of the thyroid (benign and malignant) as well as minimally invasive surgery of the parathyroid glands. Another of his major interests is surgery of benign and malignant diseases of the breast (first doctor at El Camino to do Mammosite partial breast radiation and Rubicor excision of benign breast masses).

Dr. Naruns has taken a Fellowship in Surgery of Solid Malignancies (melanoma, sarcoma) with world-renowned surgeon, Dr. Donald Morton.
